I loved everything ‘under water’ as a child, still do. I
always wanted a party on this theme, unfortunately back then themed birthday
parties won’t so popular… So I guess few years down the line I will sure plan
an underwater birthday for Z. I promise most of you will, after you go through
this post.
I found this amazing ‘message in a bottle’ invite image on Google
couldn’t help but share this. Isn’t it apt for an underwater themed birthday party?
Isn’t this octopus cake super cute? Best part is, if you
like baking cakes, you can make this one at home. Check the Octopus cake on Love
the Party. I also liked the under-water diving cake as shown on Cakes

How about these sugar fruit punch flavored sand castle pops. Won’t the kids just love them? Check Mimi Marie Design + Photography for details.
Momsters like the way Cupkates
and Parties have paid attention to the smallest details. I suggest you
check the entire post and you will know what I’m talking about. I especially
loved the dessert table doubled as a favor bar and of course the colorful table
where kids would love to eat. The cupcakes and the barrel on which they have
been decorated are sure to become one of the key attractions of the party.
Make this Sandcastle Sandwich at home and kids will love you for that. Check Rust Sunshine for details. I also liked other Under Sea themed food chosen by Rust Sunshine be it Beach Buckets of Veggies, Go Fish Jello Jigglers, “Lake Water” Lemonade with fish shaped ice cubes, Goldfish cookies, Fish and Starfish Melon Skewers, Pasta shells with “Seaweed” Pesto Sauce or the Submarine sandwich.
How about decorating the walls with some paper plate sharks
and whales… make these at home with your little one. Mommyapolis
gives an easy tutorial.

Activity suggestions by Bachman
Ville are just amazing. They divided the activities around 6 activity
stations.
- The 1st Station has clothespin mermaids. With pre-painted mermaid bodies and traced out fins. The children can add details as they like. Keep glue, decorating pens, paint, color, little decorating pieces on a tray ready for the little ones. I love the instruction card in the middle.
- The second station was the sand search. They placed 10 little mermaid figurines in the sand, and kids got to hunt for them.
- 3rd station was for making paper plate jellyfish. You can pre-cut lots of ribbon so little ones wouldn't have access to scissors.
- 4th Station is for making paper plate fish as shown in the 8th point above.
- The last station had play-doh along-with various ocean-themed cookie cutters.
- The last was the coloring station.

How about a submarine photo booth and a cardboard aquarium suggested

with a Baby.
At the entrance, add a fishnet with blue & white balloons
and sea creatures on the ceiling. Check the Byrant
Buzz for details.
Just the love table décor by Craft Studio the
little fish jar, the little treasure chests, buckets & the shells on the
napkins is just so apt for an underwater theme party.

The ideas were very very nice. An underwater party is also one on my list but, probably when my mermaid is a little older :) Will keep this post in mind then :)
ReplyDeleteExactly... I guess it is good for 5-6 years +. Aruja & Zoe are the same age :)... this is something I want to do a few years down the line
