Under Water Theme Birthday Party

I loved everything ‘under water’ as a child, still do. I always wanted a party on this theme, unfortunately back then themed birthday parties won’t so popular… So I guess few years down the line I will sure plan an underwater birthday for Z. I promise most of you will, after you go through this post.

Top Picks - Kid's Artwork Display

Artwork is Zoe's favorite word after Stories... since she has started school, she brings a new masterpiece almost every single day. She is so excited about her artwork that I love discussing them with her. I make sure I not only keep her artwork securely. I also write small notes for everything I add in the file. I write whatever Z tells me about her creation. I know I'm not alone, you, as a parent must be looking for creative ideas to store the piece of art your little one has created.

Have a Seusstatic Day with our September Theme

‘Today is your day… your mountain is waiting.  So… get on your way.”

Dr. Seuss is one of Zoe’s favorite, like Zoe I used to love Seuss as a kid…. Who doesn’t? That’s the reason why we decided to make September ‘Seusstatic’ with our birthday theme pick.

Books talking about 'Good Touch Bad Touch': Child Sexual Abuse

Before I go in the details of the books, please see this video. I must have seen this so many times... and it always gives me shivers.

This was not an easy piece to compile. I had to come to terms with the fact that we are living in a world where there is a constant fear looming over our head. I researched about books written on this topic, went through many books and finally came up with the names which will help our kids stay safe.

Have you got a TaleInAMail Yet?

At one magical instant in your early childhood, the page of a book – that string of confused, alien ciphers – shivered into meaning. Words spoke to you, gave up their secrets; at that moment, whole universes opened. You became, irrevocably, a reader. - Alberto Manguel

Books... Books... Books. All parents love seeing their kids evolve as readers... but who will tells us...

Which Books do we choose?
How to read books?
What is age appropriate for my child?
I'm too busy, how can I make sure
my child gets regular supply of books?
Till the time I understand what my child likes
s/he has already outgrown those books...

HELP....

Indoor Summer Fun - Top Picks

Summer Vacations have started in many parts of the country, and in the other parts it’s just less than a month away. We as parents try to keep summer holidays fun and action packed, we dread our kids uttering those words “Mommy, I’m bored”. Trips, summer camps and activities unfortunately do not last for 2 long months. Stepping out of the comforts of your house is not always possible, playing in the park or garden is restricted to early morning or couple of hours in the evening. Obviously you don’t want the kid sitting in front of the idiot box or the laptop, day in and day out. Zoe hasn’t started school yet (she starts in June 2013) but I have already started my research on what kind of indoor activities I can involve Zoe in when she has her holidays.

A Pajama Party for your Little One - Top Picks

Zoe is a huge Barney Fan and her favorite Barney DVD is Barney’sPajama Party DVD. The girl is a little over 2 years, but loves saying Pajama…Pajama Party. She sure doesn’t know what it means, but Zoe gave me a perfect idea for Momsters March Birthday Theme.  This is a perfect theme for children of 6 years and above, generally it is believed this is a girly theme but I’d beg to differ. Boys will enjoy a Pajama parties or slumber parties as much.

Top 5 picks to Creatively organize your Child’s Toys

One thing that a house with a child has is toys. No child can have enough of them, though as a parent you might think about your budget, space, how long will the toy's charm last, does your child really need it... but a child will want any and every toy s/he lays his/her eyes on. Many times our house looks like a big mess. I have twisted my ankle on of my daughter's car and slipped on my nephew's roller skate. One of the biggest issues moms and dads face is how to organize all the toys and don't just leave them around the house. Organizing your child's toy area is not a child's play, it can be hectic, messy and an absolutely endless process. Also it is not advisable to just stuff everything in a cabinet or a drawer, you cannot apply the 'out of sight out of mind' rule here. It will only make your job worse.
