Non Vegetarian option - you can add very small pieces of boneless chicken to kids 8 months+
Age: 5 Months+
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon split yellow moong dal
- 1 tablespoon rice
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
- ½ teaspoon ghee / butter
- Wash and soak the moong dal & rice together.
- Add the turmeric powder and pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
- Remove from pressure cooker and add the ghee. Mix well.
- Mash the khichdi completely to a smooth consistency.
- Serve lukewarm.
