I have been wanting to buy a study table for Zoe... not to study yet, but it will be a nice reading corner for her. Unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of the designs available here. I mean, a study table is a child's own space (they might or might not have a separate room). I remember me and Sadaf had similar study tables hers was a pink table with Donald Duck and mine was smaller blue version of the same with Mickey Mouse. Mom got it custom made for us. That is when I decided to do some research and get a customized study table for Zoe.
So here are a couple of designs I found on Facebook and other websites:
The first table by Kidoz is very colorful and nice. It's not like the run-of-the-mill stuff you get in market these days.
The second again from Kidoz is very good for tots and preschoolers. With bees, caterpillars, ladybug and butterfly; the kids won't complain for sure.
The next by Kidoz is a customized table with a picture of your little one.
And the last one by Kidoz have to be my favorite. These study desks not only look nice, they can be customized with your child's name on top.
I found some nice designs on Kinderhomes. I like the colors and the circular design.
The next two from Kinderhomes are simple yet look really nice.
Fabfurnish has these simple and colorful tables. You can pick and choose from different colors.
I like the the study table available at Hoopos, its nice, comfortable, colorful and has lots of space to store books, art supplies et al.
If your little one is a Chota Bheem and gang fan check out the study at Vividha
Here are some fab designs I searched for on Pinterest...
Mountains & Valleys Habitat Study Table with Chair can be painted by you or your little one. Nothing will make him/her more proud.
What I like about this one is that its simple, fun, smart, and won't be expensive.
Have a crib that your little one has outgrown? Convert it into a study table and reuse it. Don't let it go waste.
Turn a closet into a study station. Create a desk by installing a low shelf and adding filing cabinets underneath. Love the chair...
Here is another simple but very useful design, can be used as a desk and a chalk board.
This is very similar to the desks I had as kids minus the Mickey Mouse. :)
Nothing can beat white... love this desk and bench.
If your kids are younger, it doesn't mean you go all out and use as many colors as you'd like. This simple yet pretty off white desk can be as good.
If you are designing your child's entire room you can invest in a comprehensive bedroom units, which has a bed as well as a study table all in one.
If you have older kids, this bed unit would be just perfect for them. The design is contemporary and colours are nice and fun. Your teens and tweens will love this one for sure.
I have become a fan of this table design created in a cute house shape, the kids will completely enjoy their study time.
If your young kid likes having friends over, or you have more than 1 little child this design will be good. They can use this space to draw, study and learn together.
This has to ... has to ... has to be my favorite. Its actually a Homework/Study nook.
I really do not know how comfortable this one would be... and definitely there is no storage space here. I'm sure about one thing, your little pilot or airplane enthusiast will love this desk
We showed you an airplane, now here we have one for little ones who like buses. This one sure is more comfortable and has better storage.
Simple design, love the color and definitely has ample storage space.
This cute number study table is great for kid's room/study. I like the vintage look of the desk.
These wood tables can be found in every house hold, get a wood table polished and give the table a vintage look.
Talking of storage space, this one sure takes the cake.
For our younger lot, choose tables which are lower, but don't compromise on the storage space. This one is a great example of such a table.
This one is simple, contemporary and love the shape of the table.
Some more desks which have great storage.
A few minimal contemporary designs, where usability isn't compromised.
And I (as always) have saved the best for the last. This kids study table under stair looks so cool
Do check our Pinterest Board for more details on the above desks.
That is really an exhaustive list!! The problem with most kids tables available today is that they look all colorful and cute, but have very little storage space. Too many colors makes the child get tired of it soon, and no storage means it doesn't grow with the child. Love the under the stairs idea, perfect space saver!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Fab. I agree with you, the tables available in market these days focus more on the design than usability and sometimes are pretty OTT. That's why I want to get one customized. The stairs one is my favorite as well :).
