Who is Reema Kochar Vohra?

I run Pink Cupcakes in Hyderabad in March 2012 and I love my work.

Momsters (M) - Before you became a mom... (Before you became a mom, what were you involved in?)

Reema (R) - began my professional career working for a fortune 500 company dealing in International Trade. Though geared toward academics, I always had a passion for culinary arts in my blood. I fondly remember my mother creating a variety of masterpieces in the family's kitchen. At the end of a long workday, I would come home and unwind by cooking, and by baking special desserts. Before long, my hobby became my passion. Intrigued by the food industry, I decided to switch careers and go full-time into the baking. In March 2012, I opened Pink Cupcakes in Hyderabad. Since then, my venture has enjoyed the spotlight not only of the local websites but magazines such as WOW and India Today. 

Making home-baked treats for family, friends, and at-home gatherings fueled my passion for cupcakes and led to the creation of Pink Cupcakes.

It has been the experience of a lifetime and I thank everyone for that! Every day I get to wake up and decorate cupcakes, which are like tiny works of art for me. My staff and I work very hard to bring you the very best product we know how to make. We use only the best ingredients and don't believe in cutting corners. All recipes are made from scratch! They bring smiles to people's faces each and every day, which brings a smile to my heart!

M - How did you come up with this idea? 

 

R - I always loved Fondant-sugar crafted cakes and that is what attracted me to venture into this.

M - What made you decide to start this kind of business? 

R - Working 9 to 6 holding a corporate profile was almost impossible to go for after My little baby's entry into our life.

M - What do you love best about your job?

R- Crafting dream cakes for people & their occasions. Creating a memory for them.

M -  According to you, what are key traits a mompreneur should have when starting their own business?

R - Clarity of thoughts & Should know how to balance work n mommyhood !
