Party Pick November - Supergirl Birthday!

When we did the post on a 'Superhero theme', we were asked to do a similar theme on Supergirl... so after celebrating my Supergirl's 3rd this week, I started compiling a list of some great Supergirl theme ideas.

I love the way The Tortoise and The Hare has paid attention to detail, and I specifically love the costume the birthday girl is wearing (love the attitude as well). I also like the 'Superhero Jars'

Double the Fun Parties sure know how to add all the fun to a fun theme party... we love the way the table has been done... love the burst of colours.

Talking about invitations, love the design by Paper and Pigtails by Kori Clark, I also liked the Vintage Supergirl invite by anders ruff

Looking for a perfect game for your Supergirl Party??? I love the cape decorating idea by the boo and the boy ... it definitely is a sure shot hit.

A Supergirl theme party is a perfect theme for a photo-booth, 'Owlie-Powlie' has some amazing idea... this was featured by Kara Party Ideas

I'm back with my favorite 'Hostess with the Mostess'. Love the food ideas they have picked for the party, more than that love the names they have given to the food items.

Another thing I like about anders ruff is the way they have decorated the plates. Just love the idea, so easy to put together... yet so creative.

The Supergirl theme birthday will be a hit if you take tips from 'Double the fun Parties' and decorate the table on which little guests will sit and eat. You can use the table as an activity center, where you can ask the little guests to decorate their Supergirl masks.

Gaddie + Tood have another super simple yet amazing idea these name tags can have your little girl's initials and guests would love it.

Etsy showcases these adorable Supergirl Cake toppers.

No party will be complete without a birthday cake, this super Supergirl cake by The Regali Kitchen is so cute and completely does just to the theme.

And Hostess with the Mostess is back with amazing Birthday Favors

Simone made it Party Printables has this banner idea, which can be created at home...

  1. Sad to see yet another hi-society kittyparty mom's blog who's aping west for all the bad things that they do. Such blogs promote stupid theme parties and make it a social compulsion for parents to do it. As kids go to their friend's party and get into peer pressure and then adds to the financial burden of the parents unnecessarily. Needless to add all the environmental havoc these parties create with all the disposable and decorative material.

We borrow earth, air water from our kids. So if you are trying to be a responsible parent, and actually care about your kids future and well-being then, try to use resources minimally and keep some for your kids. And better spend your time with other productive things, rather than arranging stupid senseless parties and then making them reason to create yet another needless materialistic blog!

    1. Hi.......... (hope you would have dropped your name... but unfortunately you tried to keep that a secret). Thanks for dropping by and leaving your comment. What is so 'western' about a Supergirl theme??? Please enlighten me. I would have loved to feature an Indian blog which has covered a supergirl theme, unfortunately I didn't find any. You assume a lot unfortunately, this feature is the most read feature in our blog and hence we do a monthly theme. I on the other hand have never had a 'Glossy High Profile' party for my daughter yet and have never been in a kitty party myself. I do realise there are many people out there who want this. Great you are concious about the environment and the financial burden but there are parents who like to celebrate their kid's big day.

Would appreciate if you do not pass remarks and taunt people... Kindly refrain from reading our posts from next time onwards... if you feel we are materialistic. Thanks for your concern.

    2. Anonymous, first of all, it is a parent's business whether or not he or she wants to spend and have a big birthday party for your child. If I want to throw a big party for my daughter and have a supergirl theme, it's my wish and none of your fricking business.

Secondly, none of the things mentioned above require money insomuch as creativity (which you obviously don't seem to have). I can think of a hundred ways to have a party as creative as the one above without burning a hole in my pocket. Instead of just throwing a bunch of kids together in a big hotel, I would rather sit and painstakingly devote my time to the details, as interesting as the ones mentioned above. So many blogs by parents who are artists and crafts people have them doing similar things with their kids and it isn't a kitty party kind of bullshit that you mention but genuinely creative and exciting, such as the artful parent blog http://www.artfulparent.com/

Thirdly, do not go by one post on this blog that all the content here is only about parties. Momsters has a variety of content on parenting, sharing, and the most non-materialistic thing of all -- books. The owner of this blog is a huge fan of books and is doing so much to spread a love for books that I cannot stand anyone calling her materialistic or aping the west.

Personally, if someone told me I cannot have an exciting party for my daughter, I would slap them till they are blue in the face, and then some.

      So there

    3. Anonymous, I think you wrote this comment without giving regard to some wonderful posts written by so many wonderful mothers. They have taken time to pen down their experiences and the owner of the blog also meticulously edits and posts some of the content you see on the blog.

Its unfair of you to post such rash words even if you personally dont concur with party ideas. Its a parent's personal choice and no one stops you from being creative and have a green, nature friendly party. We have not had a party so far for my child, but it is not because of money at all. Its more about my child's comfort on that day. If you dont like it, skip it and read those things that interest you.

Somehow I remember a movie dialogue here... its like a finger pointing towards the moon, if you are looking at the finger then you are missing all the heavenly glory! Stop looking at small things that you dont like, look beyond.
