An Ode to Motherhood-Momsters Celebrates Mother’s Day

M-O-T-H-E-R
“M” is for the million things she gave me,
“O” means only that she’s growing old,
“T” is for the tears she shed to save me,
“H” is for her heart of purest gold;
“E” is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
“R” means right, and right she’ll always be,
Put them all together, they spell “MOTHER,”
A word that means the world to me.
- Howard Johnson

Now this post is for daddies to read & help their children put it into action & even surprise their mothers. Well, even for mommies who want to make their moms an extra bit happier. Mother’s Day is around the corner & it’s just the perfect time to make mommies feel extra special. Now this doesn’t mean that moms aren’t supposed to be loved & cared for, the rest of the year. They deserve more than we give them, so don’t shy away & show them how much you love them with Momsters’ recommended tips. Do bear in mind that gifts aren’t always the best bet, mothers appreciate gestures more.

PLAN A DAY WITH HER

Spend a complete day with her, doing things she enjoys-plan a picnic or movie or go for coffee or shopping together. A spa visit can be a good idea too. Bond over things you both haven’t done together in a long time. At the end of the day, the smile this gesture will bring to her face will be priceless.

MAKE HER SOMETHING SPECIAL
Making a personalized gift for her shows how special she is, though time-consuming it is the least you can do for your mum. Make a photo album or scrapbook with photographs of you & her or put together her favourite songs into a CD. Try writing a letter to her with all things that you appreciate & love about her. If you are creative you could paint her something she would love. There is no dearth of creative gifts for mums. Click on the links for some great gift ideas.
